HERMITAGE - housed in the four former palaces of the czars on one of the Neva's embankments in the very heart of St. Petersburg. The Hermitage has got its name from Russia's Empress Catherine the Great who kept unique art treasures on the part of her palace. Today it's the one of the world's largest and oldest museums, which contains chef-d'oeuvres by Leonardo da Vinchi, Rafael, Titian, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Rubens, the biggest collection of prehistoric culture, Egyptian, Antique art and Scythian gold.

SUMMER GARDEN & SUMMER PALACE OF PETER THE GREAT - old park with beautiful marble statues and fountains laid out by Peter the Great is a witness of the most spectacular moments of St. Petersburg's early history. Those who have enjoyed strolling among the tall trees and marble statues have included the writers Alexander Pushkin and Nikolai Gogol and the composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. In Summer Palace the elder interior is recreated and a collection of early 18century artifacts is put on display.
